What is Reusable Diaper Week? Is it the same as Reusable Nappy Week?
Reusable Diaper Week is one of the most important weeks of the year for us and our industry. Following on from Earth Day, and formerly known as Real Nappy or Real Diaper Week, the Reusable Diaper Week event is a global movement where everyone in the reusable diaper community comes together to raise awareness of reusable diapers, including their cost savings and environmental benefits.
Primarily held in Australia, Ireland, and the United Kingdom, here at Bayrli we welcome any movement that spreads the word of cloth diapers. And as such, we are the first US brand to recognise the importance of this week.
For anyone new to reusable diapers, this is perhaps the best week of the year to see why cloth diapers have become so popular. What happens during Reusable Diaper Week?
The purpose of Reusable Diaper Week is to highlight the benefits of reusable diapers and offer parents and family members as much support as possible. Any questions you may have just ask! If you are considering making the switch from disposable diapers to cloth diapers this is the week for you.
It’s a week where the entire cloth diaper and cloth nappy industry comes together and informs you for free. There are talks about the fantastic benefits of using cloth diapers, the cost savings, the eco benefits of reusable diapers, and how to use them. During the week there will be live demonstrations, Q&A sessions, and the highly anticipated giveaways and promotions.
Each year, nearly 12 billion single-use disposable diapers end up in landfills or incineration across Ireland, the UK, and here in the USA.
